I have 3 e-mail accounts set up and get 200+ e-mails everyday. On my World Edition I was able to turn off the ringtone indicator for e-mail messages, but have yet to find out how to do it on the Tour. I've gone into the Sound Profile screen and set the ring tone for messages for all three accounts to Silent Volume and vibrate, but yet the Ring Tone still shows up at the top and is LOUD when an e-mail comes through - which is constantly.
Done a battery pull? There is always going to be a ring tone listed at the top of the sound profile, as long as silent is checked it should be .... silent....
What "profile" are you using.
I'm using my storm today, so I can't recall, but there are two ways to change this on .230 go to profile, then set ring tones/alerts and also in "edit profiles"
