First off, I got my Tour earlier today. It's my first BB and I'm absolutely loving it so far. I've found my way around it much better than I thought I would at first thanks to everyone here.
I love the Tour, but for me it has too many options for various Instant Messaging apps and such. I'd like it to look a little cleaner, is there any way to remove them? Specifically the following:
Under the 'Instant Messaging' folder: Google Talk, Windows Life Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger
Under 'Applications': Flikr and MySpace
Under 'Downloads': Can we remove VVM and VZ Navigator?
Also, I've been installing and playing around on the phone since I first got it and it seems to be slowing down when I type a SMS. I'm thinking it may be because I've been switching Apps without closing them? Is there a way to see which apps are currently running?
Those applications aren't actualy installed, those are just links to the website to download and install them. If you like, you can option click on them and select "hide".
FWIW, you could delete the particular service books, but they may re-appear. You are better off with just hiding them if you don't want to look at them. Don't worry, the space those icons take up is minimal.
