So my gf has a tour and its a piece of ****, it randomly freezes and restarts. She's running .57. But the question I have have is how long does it take for your tours to start up after a battery pull. Hers took four minutes and fourty eight seconds. This seems like a rediculously long time. So what are your times.

Oh wow..if you do a search on here under Tour reboot times.. you will find about 40 threads discussing this. That is a pretty good re-boot time.. mine will boot right at 3:40 every time, others on here are saying 10-12 minutes so don't get rid of yours for that reason. The random reboot sounds like another problem that people are having,,, seems like a lot of Verzon phones.

There are at LEAST 50 threads exactly like this already, just do a simple search and you'll find your answer.

To answer your question and at least keep this thread informative, mine takes 3min 40 seconds almost EXACT every time.

    This is with 5.0.0.230 also.

I'm only running stock .57 OS so maybe with the upgrade to .230 it will boot in about 1:40?? LOL

If mine took that long, I would have taken it out in the garage and clamped it firmly in the vise by now....LOL.

It's VERY frustrating.. Took just as long to boot up the very first time I turned it on as it does now with a few apps on it

I can imagine... have you contacted Sprint about this? There must be a batch of phones out there that have a slow/faulty processor or some hardware issue causing this... maybe Rim will get it figured out before they release the Tour2/Essex (which they are probably hoping all the Tour1 users will upgrade to).

Mine was taking just a bit over 4 minutes and last week it began taking over 10 minutes. I have yet to figure out what app I installed to blow it up this badly. But the last 5 or 6 reboots all exceed that 10 minutes.

Mines takes just about 11 minutes, I do remember reading somewhere that the time it takes to start up depends on the amount of apps and data you have stored on it, I haven't confirmed the validity of this.

Mine's anywhere between 4 and 6 minutes these days. Long for a phone, average for a small underpowered computer.

The battery lasts all day even when used heavily and I have a dock, car charger, and spare battery. Startup doesn't bother me too much because I don't have to do it very often.

So when you say "randomly freezes up and restarts" what happens during that time? Does it flash a white screen? How often does it happen?

My Tour freezes up and restarts, but maybe once every few weeks.

My restart time is just under 5 minutes.

It freezes around 15 times a day at least. And it like goes to blackscreen and then acts like a battery pull when it restarts. It had been doing that a few times a day.

Much improved since first getting my tour when my boot times were well over 6 minutes!
