Since many of you are updating OS's it is recommended to do a battery pull after installing. Here is a very quick method without having to D/L any programs or taking the actual battery out

Hold on to ALT + right SHIFT/CAPS + DELETE buttons simultaneously and it should simulate a batter pull.

    Also, holding onto

ALT + right SHIFT/CAPS + h will show you how much battery % you have and what version OS you are running.

    Hope that helps some!

edit: thank you jeff for the clarification!

I know I used this method today right after my update, works great.
Just a little clarification, Alt + (right) Shift/Caps + Delete.

OP, the process you describe is not the equal of a batter pull. ALT + right SHIFT/CAPS + DELETE is a soft system reset. A battery pull is a hard reset allowing the electronics to discharge before restarting.

Both processes have a place in BB world. The soft reset works for many day to day problems. Sometimes the only solution is a battery pull.
