    I had OIT restore a portion of my school inbox, and I am suddenly getting the several thousands of old emails on my BlackBerry. I deleted the email account from my BB, but I'm still getting the emails in my Messages folder! Can I block them some how (just the old ones)?

    Easiest would be to delete the email account from the blackberry itself, and then re-add it. the BIS should only start sending emails from that point on.

    Yeah that happened to me when my work email server went out, when they turned it back on it resent 6 months worth of email to my work inbox, which was of course sent to my bb (around 15k emails) I was without my phone for 48 hours because it crashed the BES, not fun.

    Ugh, it finally stopped after about a thousand messages. That was a pain. It also managed to drain 17% of my battery in an hour.
