    use the "mass storage" option

    hook bb to sync cable
bb will ask for passcode if mass storage is enabled
find music folder on the mem card and drag & drop you music.

I too never got a prompt when I plugged my bb to my pc for "mass storage" option, BUT

if you install BBDM, go to MEDIA, then MEDIA MANAGER (depending on your installation, you may have to have BBDM install the Roxio Media Manager) . . . after a reboot, you should be able drag and drop files onto your BB or BB memory card in a Windows Explorer-esque interface

Go to Options > Memory > Mass Storage Mode Support = On, Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected = Prompt. Save.
