Just as the title of the thread says without having to memorize which letter goes with which number. my first bb was the storm and since they dialer was on the screen it had the letters on them...

After dialing 1-800, Hold the "alt" button down and spell out "gotjunk" on your keypad and press send.

Exactly how you wrote it. Dial 1-800-got-junk and hit send. It will automatically Convert the letters to the proper number.

You have to hold down the "Alt" key as you type the letters.

Well yeah that would be the only way for the letters to appear on the screen, That why i said it will convert the letters into numbers.
