    I downloaded a ringtone off the internet, but can't figure out how to add it as a ringtone for a contact.

    I just go to the contact --> edit --> custom ring tones

    I sent it to my phone from phonezoo, but it came as a .GAD file.

    One of two things happened. It didn't dl correctly, or you didn't have the correct phone choice on the web site.

    Personally, if you want a free tone I'd check out Zedge. TONS of tones and very easy to use.

    Agreed on going to zedge.net for tones.

    I've edited my own ringtones as 64k mono mp3's, e-mailed them to myself as an attachment, DL'd the attachment and they automagically show up in my ringtones list...usually at the very top or very bottom.
