Hotmail is defaulted to do like that...it takes about 15 minutes for it to come through. Did you just set up the account on your berry?

If you did then you have to change the protocol of the account and it will come to your phone instantly basically...give or take 10 seconds.

Yes, please do tell! I just created a Gmail account to send my hotmails thru so I could still use it!

I've never done anything special when setting up my hotmail and all my messages, sent/received are all virtually instantaneous
