    I recently retired from office employment, where I sync'd my Tour with Outlook on a daily basis. Now, on my home computer, when I attempt to synchronize with Outlook, I get a failure notice: "Option's [sic] value is unacceptable. Please check option properties."

    I've tried changing every value in the synchronization setup, including 'reset to defaults.' Still get the same message, whether I'm trying to sync Calendar or Contacts.

    Running BB Desktop v.5, and MS Outlook 2002, SP3.

    Any suggestions?

    I had the same problem too running an older version of Outlook, so I upgraded to Outlook 2007 and no problems since. I think you have to have the newer version to sync with Desktop manager. Maybe Microsoft and RIM are working with each other to make people upgrade their software....lol.

    I suspected it might be due to the older version of Outlook. Why couldn't RIM make the backup program backward-compatible??

    Another question: Is there any way to sync the Tour with Google Calendar, which is what we use at work? (I hate Outlook anyway!)
