Guys, I have 1 sprint.blackberry.net, 1 hotmail and 2 gmail accounts pushed to the tour. I only want to get notification for new emails for sprint.bb.net. Right now when I get emails on any accounts, I hear ding. How can I stop the ding? The red notification is fine. I just don't want any noise or vibrations when I get email on gmail or hotmail, just bb email and sms. Please help, thanks

You will need to edit your sound profile settings to turn off the noise for these other accounts. From the home screen if you go to the profiles icon at the top. click that, then scroll to "set ring tones/ alerts" and then click that and go to messages and edit the email message sounds from there.

Hey thanks for respondong. I did do that, currently I have my hotmail and gmail set to
Ringtone: bb pro sanguine, vib: off, led: off, volume: silent.
I gotta feeling that I need to change the "ringtone" since I'm getting bb pro sanguine but I looked for none under ringtone and nothing exists. What should ring tone be set to not hear anything?

I dont think that the tone should affect it.

I would verify that the correct accounts are set to silent, and that when your done you click save.

Then do a battery pull and see if it corrects itself then

I did all this and still ding. No led, no vib but still ding. Any other ideas?

Hey, Dream, is there anyway you can call BB specialist at vzw and ask him? I have messages icon, gmail messages, sms messages and hotmail message and sprint.blacckberr.net email icons...I just want the phone to ring/vib when I get only sms or email on my sprint.bb. I don't want any notifications for gmail, hotmail.

could this also be because i have a separate message icon? if i get rid of messages icon, will it work? this is really bugging me...all night long, my phone's been dinging and battery ran down, I finally had to put the phone in silent mode...I'd appreciate any help.

Dream, so i put the profile on "normal" and it works like it should...but if i change to "loud", then it does not....what gives? My "normal" is "loud"...

i have the same problem.. it must be a glitch in the "loud" setting

Are you running 4.7.1.57? MIght be a small glitch in that version of the OS. Try a 5 hybrid if you feel up to it.

I have the same problem! I can only get it to work in "normal" mode and I am sick of having too change the ringtone and sms volumes everyday there!!!!!!
