Ok just downloaded the new 5.0 update last night I am having some problems. First is the sms is there any way to go back to the old way instead of the conversation style? Second I can not find my email icon (the one that has the globe). Third I had some saved sms messages and now I dont can I recover those?

Have you done a battery pull and resend your service books? Check to see if your BIS accounts have transferred as well.

Did you backup to Desktop Manager before upgrading? If so, you can restore them using DM.
I had the same problems. Regarding the icons, it may just be hidden. On your main screen click the blackberry key. In the menu you should see "show all". Click that and see if your icon returns.
