9700 has caught my eye and when I went to the T-mobile store I fell in love with it

Compared it to my 9630 and using my imagination the 9650 and it made it look big and made me realize how heavy the Tour is

The Bold complete sex and got me thinking of ditching Verizon to get it

But don't get me wrong, I love Verizon and I believe in "you get what you pay for" but the 3G coverage T-mobile has in Philadelphia extends all the out to the suburbs of Pa.

why pay a $105.00 a month when you could pay $60 and some change ... so it's a no brainier

Lets say I got a brand new 9650 in my hand, what are the pros and cons of the 9650 and the 9700 and the 9700 already won in the looks department

Personal preference i guess. I actually like the Tour's form factor better than the 9700. So besides looks, the Bold 9700 will have a faster processor than the Tour 9650 , better battery, and able to do voice and data simultaneously. Both are so close in performance, I would choose the carrier that gives you better coverage rather than which phone to get. I also have a 9700 on order, only because my carrier ( Bell Mobility ) offers both cdma and hspa, and apparently wont offer the 9650, otherwise i would stick with my Tour.

I like the look and feel of the Tour better then the Bold, the Bold is a little smaller then the Tour which is not good, plus the keys on the Bold looks like there falling off the phone which doesnt look good to me either. Aside from looks, the Bold has a SLIGHTLY faster processor that you can only tell the difference when your running a lot of Apps.

I feel the same way, I would have ditched Sprint to get the 9700 a long time ago if I wasn't locked into a contract..

The Tour is so ugly compared to the 9700 (IMO) plus the 9700 is lighter in weigh, BUT still manage to get better battery life, the 9700's battery life is INSANE! My brother has one and his 9700 lasts for days (he uses a lot of data throughout the day), my Tour's battery wouldn't make it over 1 day and a half, and the 9700 also has a faster processor than both the Tour and the upcoming 9650!

Can someone explain to me what it so much better looking about the 9700 than the Tour?? Other than the trackball/trackpad, I see no major difference...

I just thought it was funny that someone called the Tour "ugly" compared to the 9700 when just judging by "looks", they are about as close to identical as you can get...

The 9700 looks and feels much sleeker, more masculine looking, and it uses the new blackberry design, whereas the Tour and Tour 2 still use the old design, with the big round bezel on the side, chrome side buttons, and the same old terrible battery door design.

I do agree that the Tour2 should come with rubberized side keys like the Storm2/Bold 9700/Curve 8530/etc.

    Still pretty sleek
