You can't. Apps can only be installed to the device memory. The Media Card is for Media and documents.
Go to "my world" in app world, select the downloaded app, press menu button and select archive. this will uninstall the app from your phone and download (archive) it to media card. Reboot if prompted ( not all apps require reboot)
Then once thats done , go to downloads folder and your archived app (with green arrow) should be there, select the app and select restore.(Make sure you have the latest version of app world before proceeding )
The archiving feature is by far my favorite feature of the new AppWorld! Try it. Love it.
Wait, What? I believe the OP was asking if he can get an app and save it to the media card and still operate it from there instead of using the BB's internal memory.
You cant actually run your app from memory card but by archiving it to media card, it will save some memory which is what OP wants. Using less memory is always a good thing.

Well I know u can't run it from the memory card but I must have read it wrong cuz it just sounds like every newbies question which is whether they can have their apps run from the media card so their BB won't run slow, or use up their internal memory.
I dont know why some panic on memory. The Tour has enough memory to download plenty of apps without affecting performance. There's a recent thread where the OP got his memory down to 13mb and said his Tour was still running smooth. Some start getting nervous as soon as it goes under 100mb. There's a reason why they put so much memory on the Tour, use it.

Lol true true. Lol ill confess man just last night I was added to a new BBM group that had 28 members and like a bunch of chats and lists and stuff, only I didn't know it was that and that the avatar updating and loaded chats was slowing it down, and here I'm thinking, dang it, its all those apps I have and that new theme I downloaded. Lol I'm still running all of that stuff and my phone is fine at 80mb. Lololol
Ok but I only downloaded about 11 apps n its on 40mb I don't think that's a lot of memory but maybe that's just me
