That phone is mighty old. Had it from January 08 til January 09, and its almost January 2010. I think you get the point...get a newer phone if ur gonna leave the Berry! That thing is more than 2 years old.

Well Big Red is the problem then, if you can bail, youd probably save yourself some cash, unless youre early into a contract and an ETF will bite you.

Ummm, am I missing something here? I pay 30 bucks a month for unlimited data with Verizon. Hate to think it's just me. XD

You could switch to sprint for more minutes and a cheaper data plan, and get a new berry

Dude I got it for $50
Im staying with verison just changing my plan.
    This my bill
    450 minute plan $39.99
    Data plan $30.00
    Insurance $5.99
Tax and all that other crap comes out to $98.00
I just had twins 8 months ago and got my blackberry curve before then and been trying to hang in there but its kinda tuff to dish out $98 a month

Good luck, and my kids are grown, I'd swap my tour in a heartbeat for twin babies! . Those are the things that are truly important, not a phone. What a blessing you have. Enjoy those babies and give them a extra hug for me.

ok, so as a verizom employee, let me tell u that if you gonna use the i760, you will want a data plan because its a smartphone obviously...you will need either the 29.99 data plan or you want to add a block, which a block would be dumb to add considering the phone is made to use data, dont get the pay as you go because it will rack up very fast.....i talked to a lady last year that had a 10,000 bill because of data charges on a moto q, she was doing the pay as you go

so using the smartphone instead of the blackberry really isnt helping save money unless you want to make your phone basically useless...

Smart phones do more than just data. I dont have data on mine and I still use it for what I need. I like how the calender is, notes, tasks etc are on the BB. Does that mean I need to downgrade if I like the apps for the phone and how I use them?

Granted the i760 is one of the worst phones ever made... I could have swore I remembered seeing something about it either being recalled by Samsung and.or discontinued by Big Red after like 2 months...

I think you really need to start looking at other places where to cut down on bills. Your blackberry has to be in your budget, LOL.

Trust me this is hard. i already changed my mind 50000 times lol
I wish I could just use it for phone calls and text but verison forces you to have a data plan to use it

Unlimited data is only 30 bucks a month on Verizon... no phone company charges 100 bucks a month in data... something fishy is going on here

why is Sprints data charges so much higher then Verizons anyway?
