Getting out of paying ETF?

Im looking at getting out of Sprint and going over to Verizon for the 9630. I cannot stand the signal for Sprint in Central Florida. It is all over the place and never constant. I've heard from others there are ways to get out without paying the ETF but I wanted to know if anyone here has had that kind of luck when came time for them to get out of a contract. Any help would be appreciated.
