Ok guys, tomorrow imgoing to our now VZW store to change my plan and get me a Tour.
What all do i need to ask for/about etc. when i get the tour to make sure its a good new fixed one etc. Are there any physical diff. between old Tour and updated Tour (trackball/screen ripple/battery cover). Also, what if assosciate is unwilling to work with me in getting the right Tour (going through their stock)

Tell your rep. that you want a Tour with a build date no earlier than mid August. I'm with Sprint, but when I got my replacement, I told my rep that, and he showed me one from August 12th and one from September 9th. I took the one from the 9th
Most reps 'should' know about the build differences. My Sprint rep said they sent all the bad ones back to RIM because they didn't want to run the chance of having a bad Tour returned. (That's at the corperate office store though). Make sure you check and see about only getting blackberry internet service put on your plan, if that is possible - not the blackberry enterprise service package. Might be cheaper but idk.

I really don't know if they can (for sure) give you a phone that is not ever going to give you any problems with the trackball. Speaking on that, I beleive that the problems are now sizzling out some since the phone has been out for a bit. Just go get one and if it gives you any problems take it back to them.
