I'm here on business again and saw the best knock off Ive ever seen in my travels.
Looks very similar;
1) Similar size
2) Has a "2" on the Black berry button
Way different OS.
If anyone wants one, Id be happy to oblige. They asked 850RMB, roughly $140 USD but I would negotiate that down as far as possible.
I'm no looking to make money, just wanting to know if others are interested....
Ok, I just went into the Lo Wu shopping center in Shenzhen and looked over the BB fakes. They have 2 Tour models and smaller Storm knock off as well. One of the Tours has a TV antenna and you can, well, watch TV on it....The guy selling them was asking around $110 USD for the better of the 2 but I can easily get that knocked in half at least.
You cant tell from this pic, but in the top left corner of the phone is a black antenna that you can pull out like a 1984 cordless home phone..
You can aslo see the difference on the BB button on both models...The storm is hilarious. It is about 1/3 of the right size....

Just visited Shenzhen (Lowu - Wah Keong North Street) for the first time. Came back with 2 fake Iphone Mini and 1 BB (Curve? Not sure!!). They looked so good that I couldn't help wanting to find out if they actually worked. Each cost me about RM250. They demonstrated to me calling in and out without problem! Now, I started to play around with it and I realized the OS is totally something else! The major screens look similar to the real thing but some functions are actually missing.
For eg. the BB I bought. I can't even tell which model it is. Looks like one of the Curves but the look is different from what I find on the internet. It has a trackball that works! The camera also works! The only problem I have now is that I couldn't get it to send out sms though I could receive sms without problem (anyone can help?). Also, I couldn't find the screen that can show me some sort of OS specs. I tried everything I could in the Setup/Setting icon.
I can't blame anyone as I knew what I was into when I bought these. Just sharing my experience. Comments or suggestions are welcome though!
