Hi everyone, This is my first post with my first Blackberry. I am trying to figure out if this is normal...

When I receive an email on my Hotmail account, I also receive a SMS Message telling me that I have an email. Basically two notifications. Is this normal for the device (thinking no) and how if so, can I change this so that I just receive an email notification.

This also occurs when I receive a Facebook notice.

Go into your message. Click the bb button and go to options. Click on general options. In that menu is an option for sms and email inboxes. Change it from combined to separate
