If this is the case, we can only hope the Tours themselves aren't female-- we'll all go crazy buying our Tour new skins, cases, batteries, and memory cards only to have the Tour cry "headache" and have to reboot itself every half-hour.

Like many of you, I'm getting impatient for the VZW Tour. But my urgency just kicked up a couple of notches:

1. On my way to Australia, my trusty 8830WE took a hit in O'Hare while it was in my briefcase. Result: lost a chunk of the plastic housing, and huge scratch on the screen.

2. Now, I'm having the screen flicker problem. Have to put it face down to sleep. Probably a bad light sensor.

3. To top it off, the USB connector is flaky, and I have to wiggle it to get a charge going.

In short, I love my 8830, but after trips to 5 continents, it's ready for a well-earned retirement. I will nurse it along to July 13th, but it's going to be close!
