Seems the majority of people prefer the look of the Bold 9700 but I actually prefer the Tour 9630 look - especially the dark bezel on Verizon. Ironically, the Tour seems more reminiscent to the original Bold 9000 where as the Bold 9700 is more reminiscent to the Curve 8900 minus the keyboard.

Yes I realize that the 9700 is perhaps better hardware wise (trackpad, memory, Wi-Fi, lighter) but visually, I'm glad to have the Tour on our side.

I like the look of the Tour better. The Bold looks like it falls off on the sides of the phone which I dont like. Other then that, Its a nice phone

The Tour looks better than the 9700 . Actually, the Essex is the best looking of the bunch.

yeah they still need to improve the vibrate on the tour. the vibrate function on my curve was much stronger.

The Tour feels better in the hand too. The new Bold is really light, small, and sort of plastic feeling. Kind of a shame, really. Oh well, us CDMA folks finally have a better BB than GSM people... especially when the Essex is released.

after finding out that the 9700 is smaller than the Tour, yes I like the Tours looks better...

I was under the impression all along that the 9700 would be the same exact size as the 9630, not the same size as the 8900 !

Maybe its me, but after looking over at the 9700 forum, all I see is a lot of complaint on its hardware especially on the loose trackpad and bezels. Its a shame really that RIM still can't get the trackball/trackpad down pat. Anyway, I think the Essex look the best followed by the Tour.

I agree, if I could have the 9700 spec in the 9630 housing I would be very pleased. The way the bezel slops downward bothers me, the tour looks much nicer overall
