Please vote above. I know that this poll will help me decide weather or not I want a Tour or a Curve, and so please vote. There are tons of Tour-problem threads, and not many love ones. So voting here will help newbies decide on the Tour. Thanks =]
and all you have to do is read...or go mess with one...you can't take what everyone says because a lot of it is personal preference
but if you really want an honest opinion...my Tours rule...i've had the Pearl and Storm and currently have a Curve, Bold, and 2 Tours and the Tour is the best
I am new to the BB world and even though I haven't had much experience with other BBs, getting this phone was a great decision. No matter what happens in life, it is always easier to tear something new down, than to support it. I think you should go play with one because it is a personal preference issue, but I do believe you won't be disappointed.
Its a great phone. fits in your hand perfectly, looks sharp, hi-def screen... I would get it. You won't be too sorry. Just have to watch that battery thing. I'm still working on my battery issues. But other than the battery, it's been great.

When I was shopping for my first Blackberry, I actually liked the 8830 but it didn't have a camera, so I was debating between the Storm and the Curve 8330. As a Verizon user, I didn't have the Curve 8900 or Bold to choose.
I love how the Tour has a similar keyboard to the 8830 but also has a camera. I love the Tour. I have the Ipod Touch as my primary PDA, which has the Iphone OS, and yet I find myself using the Tour all the time.
What I don't like about it...
(1) the HTML email shortcomings -why do I need to buy a $30 program to get HTML email when I get it for free on my Ipod Touch? (2) The battery runs very quick when using streaming apps like Pandora or BB Scanner, and heavy Browser use when viewing RSS Readers like Google Reader. (3) Maybe I was dreaming, although I was researching quite a few phones in the past 6 months, but I would have sworn that the specs for this phone indicated 200+ hours of standby power. Really??? Yeaa, right! I am getting through the day, but barely.
Well, "they" do need to sell car chargers and extended batteries, right?!
I really enjoy the tour. My first BB was the Nxtl 7100, hated it, went thru 3 in one year, kept crashing. Next had a sprint 8703e, i loved the full keyboard, stable os also. Next was my curve, i was estatic about having a camera. Tour was amazing, loved everyting new, now that i got it unlocked and can use my att sim card, well it's simply the Best phone I've had!!
Coming from a few WinMo phones, I'm officially a BB convert. This device does everything I need to and more and does it with no errors/glitches anything. It works like it's supposed to and never fails me, I love it. Wouldn't trade my crackie for anything
This is the 3 or 4th thread that shows about 85 - 90% of Tour uses LOVE their phone. We should sticky one of these threads so people understand this reality. Otherwise they are seeing all the complaining and getting an improper impression.
