hi i've just aquired a 9630 compliments my dad in the states. its unlocked to i can make and receive calls on my home network. but i cant seem to get the data activated.. can anyone help with this. next question is there anyway to take the default sprint cdma number out of the phone??? or to unlock the data? please help im completely lost..
Most likely the problem is that your phone service carrier does not support the 9630 so you don't have the proper Service Books to get data.
But 1) do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan, 2) have you contacted the carrier about data, 3) have you tried to see if there are generic Service Books available for your carrier?
Without a proper data plan and the proper Service Books, you won't be able to get data on it.
