I bought a Curve 2 full retail a few weeks ago, but the low-res screen is beginning to annoy me.

Thinking of coughing up the $100 for a Tour, but I've owned it in the past -- had a very bad memory leak -- and I had ONE APP (Facebook, which I always log out of).

I'm not sure what software is the most updated for the Tour, but does it still have a leak?

    Thanks...

OS 4.7.1.61 on the Tour is stable and doesn't have any memory issues. Verizon's release of OS 5.0 for the Tour, on the other hand, is severely flawed and unstable.

Yes the tour should come with 5.0.0.591 preinstalled.

Im on .591(hybrid) now and still having issues with memory leaks. Think its something to do with the twitter app cause my phone leaks about 20mb in a day or less.

If it comes loaded with .591 I'd downgrade to .484 or .419, I'm on .484 and I leak about 3-5MB per day which isn't a lot imho.

Not necessarily true. Most of the devices in the system aren't upgraded. So, dependent on how industrious the reps are, it is still possible to have a new device ship with 4.7.

just go back to the tour and load up one of driphter's hybrids - 8.2 and 8.5 are his best imo.
