Is class 2 SDHC memory fast enough for using in the Tour for music and movies? Or should I get a class 4 or 6?

    Thanks.

There is talk that the BB won't even really recognize above a class 2 anyway. I have a class 2 16gb and it works great.

I have 16 gig class 2 SDHC. There is some minor lag in scan time when new media is added. Additionally there is about a 6 sec lag between songs in a playlist. Nothing to get crazy about, but, if the device supports class 6, I would definately spend the xtra $ and go for it. You can never be too fast.

Also, I found the best pricing on newegg. I tried to save some money by buying Kingston and later returned it (too slow and unresponsive) for a Sandisk.

BB is optimized for Class 2. However, if you are transferring data to and from a computer, a class 6 is much more efficient.

I have a cl 6 Transcend 8 gig in my Curve, and it is sweet.

Class 2 SDHC works well for me. I have a 16 gig Dane Elec class 2 card. Works as well as my 8 gig class 6 transcend card. No lag with movies or music.

That 16gb Dane Class 2 card was available from JandR for like $34, and also from their Amazon store. But they sold out.

They are now back in stock but at $45. There is a seller on Amazon selling it for $37, ANTonline, but I know nothing about them......

Yea I get this too but then it's because your cpu reads it as how much space is left. You probably already put in 8 GB worth of data in the card. Not a big deal, the card still works fine.
