hey guys can someone please help me figure out how to turn off the keyboard light when Im charging the phone. I charge my phone at night when I sleep and unless I put it into Bedside mode the keyboard remains lit. Is there a workaround for this?

Try going to clock>options>when charging [do nothing]. This is how I have mine set up and nothing lights up when charging.

With the clock showing, use the menu key and choose Enter Bedside Mode. It dims the clock and the keyboard lights go out. Sleep tight!!
