The Li-Ion batteries prefer often and deep charging. Check out the information at Welcome to Battery University. Lots of info in there.

Ive always been told that letting the battery drain to zero often shortens its life. My rule is fifty percent, at that point i charge.

I've always been told to wait till the batter is close to being dead (maybe 10%) and then charge. I don't go by that but my battery is usually close to dead by the end of the day anyway lol.

I charged my curve whenever I wasn't using it and I did this for over a year with no ill effects on the battery. I cant leave the house without a fully charged battery, just like I cant leave it without my wallet. lol

The new batteries don't have the memory problem but I believe they can only be charged a certain amount of times before they start to degrade.

I also have mine plugged in all the time. My theory is if its always plugged in I wouldn't notice the shorten life if it has one.

I usually charge it when my battery gets around 30%. Haven't really noticed a difference in how long it lasts.
