Is it possible to use Curve 8900 firmware instead of Tour firmware


because I want cell-site location works on my Tour

Are you sure your settings are right? My gps works great now (.419 and above) very fast to locate. I'm not talking cell-site location either. Actual (within 10m) location approx 30 seconds from cold start.

point is my tour won't get cell-site location data from GSM Cell-site. It only looks for CDMA


ps. I'm on GSM Network

Did you have the tour unlocked? IF it looking for GSM, this might be the problem. Also check your settings under options>mobile network> network technology should be for GSM.

Thailand is a CDMA country, this might be the problem. I am sure they also have GSM.
