First of all, I am using a Mac with VMWare Vusion (xp)

Coming over from the Storm, I was constantly upgrading to new operating systems. For the most part, I used the app loader but using the desktop manager was not a problem.

For some reason, now that I have the tour, I can no longer upgrade to any new OS's. First I tried both 5.0's and most recently .142. Each time I am getting hung up at the "connect to the device rom" part.

I have deleted the RIM tools and the vendor file. Any hints as to what I may be doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Instead of using Vusion, have you tried downloading the DM for Mac that was leaked? It does work.

dm for mac only allows official os upgrades. no leaks for mac users.
