    I have checked and rechecked all my Saved and other message folders, done multiple battery pulls, marked every message as 'open', tried changing themes back and forth, and still cannot get the new message indicator (the envelope, not the blinking LED) to go away!

    Someone please help!

    Do you have a missed call or voicemail notice? I have found that until I click on one of those two I tend to have a unread message indicator showing.

    As stated in OP, I've done multiple battery pulls and the indicator remains.

    First it showed as an unread email, now it just says unread message.
