When selecting an avatar in bbm 5.0, the crop screen comes up, showing the whole picture with a smaller crop-box in the center, but nothing seems to have any effect as far as moving the crop-box around or zooming in or out. My menu options are only (1) Crop and Save (2) Cancel (3) Switch Application.

Why can I not selectively crop the picture? Shouldn't there be more menu options?

Issue resolved. The photos I was working with were .gifs, which are not compatable with the crop features. Regular images work fine.
