    I followed the instructions to have Sprint unlock my Tour that were posted back in 09/09. They did not provide me with a code they just got the last 4 digits of my sim card. when i went into advanced options>sim card before i called it said no valid sim card. I received an email confirmation saying my account has been updated to unlock sim card but after a phone reboot and going into same options it still says no valid sim card.

    Does anyone know if my phone has been unlocked or not? I would not want to realize when I get abroad next week and put in an international sim that it is not working. I would be pissed.

    On your BlackBerry, go to Options > Advanced Options > Sim Card.

    At that screen type MEPD on your keyboard. A new menu will pop up.

    Look for Network in the list.


    If your device is "unlocked", it should say Disabled or Inactive. If it says Active, it's still locked to that carrier.
