    I just purchased a new Tour through Sprint and although the trackball is working fine (for now), my call quality is terrible. The person on the other end sounds muffled and quasi-staticky and they complain that I sound the same way.

    I read the box and it says it has been manufactured on July 30th (or 31st, don't remember...). I read on here that only tours made after August 2nd or 3rd are problem free?

    So basically, should I exchange it for a newer model or is this just a problem I need to accept?

    Return it. Do not accept poor call quality. I am on my 3rd and now my quality is great!!!

    Very common problem. Just keep returning them until you get one with a working trackball and good outgoing call quality. It may take 5-10 tries.

    LOL @ 5-10 tries. I would personally give up after 2 or 3 tries and go for something else.
