Can someone, anyone, PLEASE tell me how to get rid of the browser click issue with the new OS or how to downgrade back to .484? I can't believe RIM and Sprint for releasing such crap!!!

Goto the Sprint site and just download the .484 files, and follow the directions on the Sprint site. I never had a problem with .484, upgraded to .624 and got the browser click issue. I'm downgrading back to 484!

I suggest using .484 or trying out either of the latest leaks; http://forums.crackberry.com/f95/lea...-643-a-462187/ ; http://forums.crackberry.com/f95/lea...9630-a-462773/ . Both work like a charm and the browser click issue is nonexistant.

Umm, try the enter button now. I read somewhere about what the update brings and one update now is using the enter button as a shortcut to the clicking with the roller ball. Which makes sense due to all the complaints that were made.

Just finished downgrading to 484. So far so good, browser click issue is gone.
Yes, using Enter does work for links, but not over buttons.

I had the same problem when I first got my Tour. I just did a soft rest (alt+right shift+delete) and everything was back to normal.

How did you get it from the Sprint site? Is your OS really version 5.0.0.484??? I ask simply because when I tried to download .484 from the Sprint site tonight, .624 somehow got on my phone!!!

Wow, pretty sure this has been addressed more than once, but the browser click issue is present in all .5xx radio files. Unless you're going to do serious java modifcations like BBTweeps has done to get as close to removing the issue as possible, it's something you just have to deal with, and yes, using the ENTER key was the alternative to the browser link click issue.

Browser click issue is present in .662 for some people.

.643 seems to be fine tho.

I made a browser patch that fixed the problem for me - if anyone wants to try it see this thread.
