What is different when you put the clock into "Bedside Mode". I cant figure out what happens.

It turns your alerts off. SO your BB won't ring in the middle of the night if you get a text or a call

It dims the screen and disables the LED indicator. You can also have it change the sound profile when activated.

I don't think you can get it for the curve. Bedside mode was one of the things I really liked when I upgraded from the 8330.

It also turns off the keyboards backlight while plugged in.

He's right, I believe it is only available on 4.6 OS and up

Hmmm always wondered what bedside was although I usually just turn the phone to just ring for phone calls only. Never know when an emergency may arise so I at least want my phone to ring for phone calls.

If you plug in your phone in the charger the clock will come up, from there hit the bb menu button and select "Enter Bedside Mode". Also while the clock is up, hit the bb menu button, then options, and you can select among other things, the profile that you want beside mode to use.. i.e only ring for phone calls ect...
