BDM 5.0.1 just loaded OS 5.0.0.230 on my VZW Tour 9630 phone.
BDM had a popup stating an update was available for about 230MB and I downloaded it, restarted my PC and then hooked up my Tour after PC restart and it downloaded 5.0.0.230 on my Tour. Let me see if I can take a pic...
When I plugged my tour into desktop manager it prompted me to update to 5.0 core and all other apps on my phone. ( I am already running .230 and have 5.0.1 DM) However, I wanted to backup my phone first and when i came back DM told me there was no new update. Anyone else have this happen to them?
Downloading the update to 5.0.1 now for DM. We shall see what the other stuff does at a later time. Figured I might as well grab the update while it's official though.

Why the **** did it do this?
My BDM updated to version 5.0.1, but no update for my Tour�.
So, I did a battery pull on the Tour. When it came back up, the radio was off.
So, I rebooted my computer.
Ran BBDM and tried again.
It again asked to do the upgrade.
I said OK
It searched for software, which by the way, showed up in the add/remove software list and it wasn't there before.
It found it.
It did a full backup, including 3rd party apps, themes, etc.
This time, it accessed the ROM which is where it failed last time.
Since then it is just plugging along on it's merry way, doing what it is supposed to do. I'm fulling expecting that in a few minutes, I will have a TOUR with version 5.0 direct from Verizon!

i think we found a liar. either that or you are just mistaken. show me a screen shot. pics or it didnt happen.
DM 5.0.1 has also been turning off my radio. I never turn it off so i never thought to look but after a while of getting no messages i noticed it was off. I also still cant get the OS 5.0 update to pop back up. It only did it once, and the tethering is still gone.
i deleted DM5.0.1 yesterday.. i plugged my phone into it and it was just looping with restarts. i just downloaded 5.0 back and its fine.. that DM seemed really buggy. im on a 64 bit system and that could be why too.
The BBDM reported the update was successful. The phone gave me a message saying stuff about proprietary softare, etc and asked to reboot. It is now rebooting. I'll take a screen shot as soon as it comes back up and post it here in a few minutes.
oh yes it is.. whether you know it or not. you have either downloaded a 4.7 update, or you have downloaded a leak before and your DM is just now recognizing it. go to options>about and the third line down will tell you what OS you have..
