Hit the green phone key bb menu options voice mail plug in your pass word. Save. Then hold the 1 key and your vm will auto dial

Ok maybe someone can help me. I stored my password for my voicemail and it auto dials and connects to my voicemail perfectly fine. However when i check my call log, it shows my call to my voicemail then it has "p" with my actual password displayed right next to it. This didn't happen with my storm, as it just showed up in my call log as a call to my voicemail. Anyone know how to fix this or is it a bug?
WOW THANK YOU!! I was driving myself crazy trying to figure it out!
BTW just wanted to share .... I LOVE MY TOUR!!! Ok had to get that out...
Thanks! =)
Anyone have any ideas about my issue?
The little "P" icon means there's a 3 second pause between the phone entering in the phone number and it putting in the password. That's normal. It just allows the phone call to connect before entering in the password.
If you add Voicemail to your contacts (with your phone number + pause + password) it'll show up as "Voicemail" in your log.
Thank you for this kludgy workaround. I can't believe a phone so obsessed with security that it won't automatically download email image would SHOW THE VOICEMAIL PASSWORD IN THE CALL LOG.
Omg.
I guess if you really want BB security, you need to secure the entire phone with a password. Even if you set the voice mail password in the phone options, it can be viewed by someone else who goes to those options (even if it does not show in the phone log).
But, if you really want to know about security, a few weeks back I either forgot my VERIZON (your carrier and mine) voice mail password or the sequence was not getting transmitted correctly. It hung up on me with the warning to the effect "wrong password 3 times" So I tried again. Same problem but this second go around, it asked me if I wanted to to correct the issue. I was sure it would suggest calling Customer Service - NO. It allowed me in to change my password. So if my phone found were found by a stranger - they could have had access to change the password. I am guessing that since the voice mail check was coming from the correct phone it was not as protective. Again, I guess to avoid even this - secure the entire phone. Security goes only so far.
This is most threads in a night I've ever seen on this topic!
should def be fixed in OS5. Everything else about the phone is locked down, can't believe they missed this one.
honestly--I've never heard a complaint about it before. But, it would be nice to have it show as asterisks or something. Can't have it all though.
I have my password plugged into voicemail through the options and it automatically adds a 3 second pause when dialing. It does not show up in my call log when I dial my voicemail. OS5....
