I can connect my phone with my radio for phone calls and sms, but can I hook it so it will play music via bluetooth into my radio.
I am going to get all the manuals, but if anyone knows if this will work, might save me some wild goose chasing.
thanks ahead for any help
tricky
I have 2008 edge, with sync version 1.3. Mine would hook up fine for phone, but not for music. I tried to get my sync updated from Ford to ver 2.0 (couldn't, long story) in hopes that would fix it. Anyway, I upgraded my BB to OS ver 4.7.1.53. The next time it connected with sync, everything, including streaming music and audio controls worked great!
I had the Curve and it worked great with my Sync (2008 Taurus) version 1.3.
Now, that I have the Tour it doesn't differentiate phone numbers at all. Example: I say " Call wife on cell" and it comes back to me with "Press 1 for Call wife on mobile other, Press 2 for call wife on mobile work".
It's all messed up for phone numbers.
Anyone else have this problem?
I even updated to 4.7.1.57 OS and still have problems.
I can stream music through my sync on my 2009 F-150. It works flawlessly every time my phone connects. I now play music more from my Tour than use the satellite radio.
You CAN update the Sync 1.X to 2.0 but it has to be done at the dealership. It only adds 911 assist and Vehicle Health Reports.
But, has anyone else experienced difficulties with using the Sync voice dialing feature with the Tour?
That is the way it is supposed to work. However, as I found out, it is not that easy. My vehicle was at the dealership for two days with no success. I have pursued every route possible, to no availe. I finally got a service manager from a different dealership to level with me. He told me that it has been a disaster. They have only been able to upgrade around 25% of the time. Most upgrades do not work and they waste hours trying. He suggested to me that I check back every month or so to see if Ford/Microsoft comes up with a fix. At that point I will try the upgrade again.
On the Tour/SYNC issue, my non scientific data tells me that RIM updated Bluetooth profiles in .53, because just like OP, it didn't work until I upgraded BB OS to .53. Now, as stated, everything works flawlessly.
