I got my Tour about a week ago, and I've notice something buggy with the battery meter...
When I'm charging, the battery meter doesn't seem to move. The bars stay in the same place. I'll go in to options > status, and the % won't change either.
For example, I'll plug my phone in at 35%. I'll come back in...15 minutes? And it's still at 35%. If I unplug it and restart, upon turning back on it'll say it's at 55%.
So the phone is actually charging, it just doesn't display as such.
Anyone else having this issue? Or does anyone know what it could be?
On the phone with Sprint right now. The reaction from the first rep was "So if it's not displaying the increase in power, but it is actually still charging, then there's no problem."
My response: "Can I please speak with someone who specializes in BlackBerries?"
Her response "Sure, but they're going to tell you the same thing..."
Second rep repeats the same thing as first rep.
Me: "You're not BB tech support, are you?"
Him: "No."
Me: "I would like to speak with BB Tech Support..."
RIM had me back up, then reset the phone to factory settings, then sync everything back up.
If this doesn't fix the problem, they told me to take it to Sprint and get a new battery.
We'll see how it goes.
The phone reset seems to have worked. If anyone has this problem, I'd recommend trying this before going through the whole process of exchanging your phone/battery.
No, just someone intelligent enough to know how to use the forum.
No one asked for a play by play, John.
I figured that someone might end up having the same problem as me, and what they had me do might be helpful information.
No one asked you to come in here and give your opinion on how many posts I made.
If you don't like it, don't read it. It's not necessary to be rude for no reason.
