Going to try .591 to see if that resolves it...

No it's not free, but worth the money IMO.

I usually lose a percent or two when doing a battery pull. The most I lost was 20% I believe. But that was a rare occasion.

Did you try switching the OS as you had suggested earlier? Moving from .548 to .591 is a bad idea in my opinion. VZW's official even with the new patch/platform update is about worthless. I suggest going over to the leaked .643 build and checking out things from there. Its one of the best builds I have ever run on any of my devices...

If you need the files, let me know.

It does seem like it varies by OS build. [HERE] is a thread started a while ago from someone running a Bold9000 with the same issues. There they discuss how its different for different OS builds some better some worse. Again, I recommend trying the .643 leak (I've not had any trouble with it at all) and playing around with soft/hard resets to see if this helps any.

+1 on .643, great OS, I've never had any problems either.

Have you had this problem on every 5.0 you've tried? Maybe go back to 4.7 and see if it makes a difference.

    Full wipe?

    Series of Questions:

    1. Do you let your battery run completely dead before hooking up and charging it again.

    2. Do you monitor your battery AFTER the initial restart and does it ever come back UP?

    3. WTF/WTH are you doing soft resets? Those not only consume clock cycles but have been known to burn up a battery faster than a normal physical battery pull. There are some issues that a soft reset just won't fix but a physical battery pull will, just get in the habit of pulling your battery once a week and you should be good.

How many 3rd party apps do you have installed on the device. In my experience the more apps the it takes to boot up again, especially if they are requiring gps location on start up.
