Is there any way to restore something specific? ie address book, email etc?

Something really screwed up happened to my phone, and I just want to restore a certain portion of the backup file that I've made. Is it at all possible?

    Thanks in advance

Yes, you can use the Advanced Backup and Restore function in Desktop Manager to restore individual databases, such as the Address Book. Go to the Advanced Backup and Restore screen. Open a backup file, and select the databases you want to restore in the left hand pane.

On Backup/Restore click Advanced. What's loaded will appear on the right. Go to File->Open, and select the back up you wish to restore from. Then click the addy book, so it's highlighted, and hit the right arrow button. That will replace what's on the phone, with what's in the back up. That is most of the time. It is a BB, so sometimes it can be very fickle. You can highlight the loaded one, and select clear before moving the "new" one on board if there's a problem.
