I am new to blackberry and this site. I was wondering if someone could help me with messages with sound. For example I recieved a picture message with a song attached to it but when I open it I can not here the song. Can someone help me with this please

Did you try OPEN ATTACHMENT? While looking at the email, press the BB button (left of trackball) and find Open attachment.

What format was the song? Also, how large - there might be a limitation?

Was it an MMS? If so, you should make sure your sound profile is set to normal or anything, but Silent/Vibrate.

i agree with the above posters and will add that after you have opened the MMS attachment, hit your volume key up. Mine always come in muted for some reason.
