The ringer on my 9630 sounds very anemic when someone calls me. When I set the ringer, it sounds loud and robust when I test it but once I get an actual call it reverts to a weak sounding version of what I set it at.

I've tried it with a number of different ringers, both the natively installed ringers as well as ones that I've downloaded from crackberry and there is no difference.

I also updated the firmware to the leaked .61 version from the official .40 version and that didn't help either.

I'm on my third Tour and I don't want to get another if I can help it. Since the ringer works okay when I set it up I know it's not a speaker or hardware issue. I suspect it's a software issue but can't figure it out.

Has anyone had a similar experience or can anyone offer any advice?
