Not sure what happen but here it goes. The weekend before the "official" update came out I got the error 552 message. Bottom line there I had to do a COMPLETE restore. After that all was well.
The next day I do the update and now my contacts list is messed up. When I access my contacts there multiples of one contact and contacts are missing information. I.E. Street names and special notes.
Also want to add that it says it trying to sync with google sync

I had the same issue with my tour. If you've backed up your phone, go back through your backups to before you were having this issue. I don't remember exactly what it was called, but basically my phone only had one address book thing, when there are supposed to be two or three. Instead of restoring everything to your phone, just restore the individual missing address book things and your phone should be fixed. Hope this helps- I dealt with the issue you've been having for months and it drove me insane.
