    Hi! I have a big problem.
    I dont know i have done but at once the messenger stopped working and the browser icon dissappeared. Even gtalk and yahoo messenger disaapeared.
    I contacted my provider och they told me that the account is active. They told me to do go to host routing and to register then reboot. Nothing happened.
    The SIM card works fine when i put it in any other blackberry except this blackberry. So the wrong is in the mobile.
    I call make call calls and send sms but no internet and the messenger is off.
    I hade blackberry upgraded to 5 but then downgraded and now have 4.7.
    No success.
    the word edge is in small letters. No blackberry symbol behind 3G as it was before when using 3G.
    The strange thing is that when I use other SIM card from same provider it doesnt work. But SIM cards from other provider works fine in my BB.

    Whats wrong???

    What carrier?
    Did you load the Service Books?

    Yeah sounds like a service book problem. all the problems you mention are controlled by service books. You can go into your bb account from your provider and resend them or ask your provider to do it 4 you

    Thanks alot for your reply.
    The service book was almost empty.
    What i did is that backuped the other blackberry device that uses same provider and then restore it to my device.
    I got all service book fles.... then i did reboot. i did register and reboot again... nothing happened.

    I am s upset.

    My provider is Du in United Arab Emirates. They don't know what problem it is and they do not support tour 9630.

    Any other ideas?

    Yes that matters.

    If the other device was a device that your carrier supports, then they have the proper Service Books. But since they don't carry the Tour 9630, you don't have the proper Service Books.

    Some people have gotten the Tour to work in the US on AT&T and TMobile by manually loading the generic service books for their carrier. You will have to search to see if the Service Books are available for your carrier.

    Otherwise, you should get a device that your carrier does support.
