I tried unlocking my Sprint 9630 and I messed up. Many forums mentioned to call Sprint International customer service; however they didn't help much. I tried contact them 3 times (2 by online chat) and all 3 said my sim card was already unlocked, the first time the rep gave me 2 so called MEP codes... then the failed attempts started. I went online and purchased a MEP code (i am not going to mention what company it was because he tried to help) but all I ended up is with 10 failed attempts to input a good MEP code.

this is my problem now- under the Advance Options/sim card menu I type in MPED and this what the screen shows...

SIM Card: No Valid SIM Card
    Personalization:
    SIM Disabled
    Network Blocked
    Network Subnet Disabled
    Service Provider Disabled
    Corporate Disabled

I then type in MEP2 but I cannot access the next screen to enter the MEP code.

The phone has the original Sprint sim card installed and it was working fine before and while traveling international. I only use it for travel so it is not active right now.

can anyone tell me how to reset the MEP code back to 10 attempts?

You can't reset the block from the keyboard. The only solution now is a workshop service using a cable (hard wired) unlock.

Specialist software. You could probably buy it... but it would be uneconomic for a single phone. Talk to the high post count unlocking professionals who post in out unlock forum, http://forums.crackberry.com/f157/

There is no software or hardware to remove hardlock on 9630 (or other 8xxx, 9xxx models)
Cellcorner.com is performing a mail unlocking service for these type of handsets.
Again, this is the only known unlocking method for hard locked Blackberry phones at this time
Mail-in repair service for hardlocked Blackberry 9630 Tour w/ blocked counter - Mobile phone unlocking from Cellcorner.com
