I realized once I upgraded from .484 to all these new OS's my battery has been terrible...
I ordered a new battery and its the same crap...Anyone else have this problem?
I am thinking of downgrading back to .484, it seems the most stable and that is what sprint tours are using now

I've had good luck with .643, I have an average discharge rate of 1.6% with moderate use. Also, the radio is much better with .643 for me
I upgraded from .643 to .662 because it was the newer leak. Battery drain was worse but not terrible, but there was a bad memory leak for me. I am now back on .643 and it is running like a charm for me.

I experienced the same things and am now back on .643 and it is great. I went almost a week without doing a restart and had only lost 9.6 MB over that time.
I used .643 for about a week, now I am running .662. I really didn't see much difference between the two, both gave me excellent battery life (less than 1%/hr) and very little (-.3mb) memory loss.
is there an app thats free and records your battery life?
when i switch OS's i want to be able to compare, i am not sure what this memory leak thing does or what it is or how it affects my phone lol does it just run slower the more memory thats leaked?
Make sure Global is turned off under Mobile Network in options. Leaving this setting on will cause the phone to do a continuous search. This option is default on when upgrading or reloading your system software.

ok i turned off global
what is that little cross hair icon with 3 curved lines going to the right of it? should that be turned on?
and also, if i have a theme installed, would that drain my battery quicker than the stock theme? i have finesse theme currently, thanks!

That's GPS and if its got the lines next to it that means it's on. If you use it a lot, keep it on but that's a surefire way to drain the battery. To turn it off go to Options, Advanced Options, GPS, and then change it to E911 only. Then it should just be the crosshair with no lines and a longer battery life! I only turn my GPS on when using Google Maps or Poynt, which I do infrequently.
ok cool, does anyone know if i install another theme (classique docked or finesse theme) would it drain my battery quicker?
Some themes can drain your battery and/or use up memory. You won't know until you try it. MeterBerry is an awesome app to track your battery & memory usage, well worth the money!
