So I've got a client with a 9630. Yesterday I had her come into my store with her laptop to try to get 5.0 on the phone.

after 4 hours of trying everything I could think of, I still could not get BBDM to recognize that her phone needed the update.

Today, she calls me, I meet up with her, and her phone is popping up with the "wireless update" icon. "PERFECT!" I'm thinking--much to my dismay, it will not update wirelessly either.

I have the report that the phone on why it failed avaiable via email if anyone knows how to read that stuff.

When I plug in MY Tour, running 5.0.0.484, it tells me that 4.7.157 is the "preferred" OS.

    Any thoughts?

Yes. Download the OS you want to install, run it on the computer, make your backups using DM, BBSAK, etc, then delete vendor.xml and run apploader (loader.exe in the folder you deleted vendor.xml from).
