Yes it has been confirmed that there will be an official 5.0 coming to the 9630. Thinking logically, why else would they be developing it? (As evidenced by the leaks)

Following the storm / storm 2 trend, I wouldn't expect the official 5.0 to be released for the 9630 until a few days prior to the 9650 being released.

good call..now if that day would hurry and get here. i don't like running beta of anything if i can help it. My GF just got the 8530 and i really like threaded sms.
