Try reprogramming (Dial *228 from your handset) and a battery pull

Having the same problem. Updated using *228 successfully and have done several battery pulls. Getting frustrated.

Sprint does not support the *228 function. How is your signal strength? Did you re-register your device? If not, try to do so. Go to OPTIONS > ADVANCED OPTIONS > HOST ROUTING TABLE > MENU > REGISTER NOW; then go to OPTIONS > MOBILE NETWORK > MENU > UPDATE PROFILE. After both tasks are completed, perform another reset.

Forgot to mention: Are you roaming [on and off]? Is your device set to 1XEV vs. Global in Network Technology?

My phone is set to 1XEV not global I will try the last thing mentioned and see if that works, it is roaming whenever the 1X comes up

If your lack of signal strength causes you to wander off of your home network, you are stuck with whatever the foreign network has to offer. I've been known to roam on networks that indicate 1X, and conversely I've had 1XEV while roaming on other networks. In this case, 1X means you're not able to exploit the 'high-speed' data capabilities of your device. Your problem may not be a phone issue, it may be a reception issue, as it relates to your geographical position.
